What is VAT Tax and Why do I Have to Pay it?

Even though we are based in the U.S., we are required to collect VAT Tax on Digital Goods from our Members that reside in the UK as well as 31 European Countries. If you were charged that fee, then you must reside in one of the 32 countries that require us to collect that tax for them. We don't have that tax here in the U.S. but we have to collect it and submit it to Europe, and the UK, each quarter. We are so sorry that we must collect that from you, but unfortunately it is the law.

There is one exception, if you are a business and you have a UK Vat Tax Number, or a Euro Vat Tax number, we can add that to our system and then you don't have to pay. As there is an exemption for business to business transactions.  There is a box for that on our registration page, that you can fill out when you register. Just check off "Business" instead of "Consumer" and the box will appear for you. Please see the screenshots below to guide you through that.

**Please note... members in the U.S., Canada, Australia and many other countries will NOT be charged this tax.

How to get a Business Vat Tax Exemption:

First) During the sign up process for joining our Premium site, fill in your info as normal. But when you get to the bottom of the form, select "Business" instead of "Consumer".

Second) After selecting "Business" a box will appear with the words "Vat Number".

Third) Type your business VAT Tax number into the box and you will then be excluded from the Tax.
